With the dominant message of the need for better information on the legal and technical parameters of cybersecurity, the first workshop of the Homo Digitalis, on Wednesday 31 October in the ceremonial hall of the Athens Bar Association.
In the context of the European month for cybersecurity, the workshop entitled European Cyber Security Month: Real Challenges - Legal and Technical Solutions, More than 150 academics, professionals, and students from the fields of law and information technology participated, along with several citizens with a strong interest in the specific current issue. The presence of representatives from the Ministry of Digital Policy, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, the Hellenic Authority for the Assurance of Communications Confidentiality, the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, and the judicial sector was particularly significant.
The first session of the seminar focused on the legal challenges and obligations of the cyberspace, while the second session included a demonstration of social engineering and the presentation of the national cybersecurity team. The speakers of the seminar, approved professionals from the fields of law and computer science, highlighted the necessary synergy between the two domains for achieving comprehensive user protection.
